Camp Tel Yehudah divides the different grade levels into chugim, and each follows a unique program of activities and memory-making experiences.

Alumim (entering 9th grade): A dynamic camping experience designed for teens who are entering high school. Campers develop a connection to Jewish and Zionist history while taking part in sports, singing, swimming, dancing and all the great programs Tel Yehudah has to offer. In addition, the Alumim program features a rafting trip, overnight camping and an excursion to Ellis Island and other Jewish sites around New York City.

Yachad (entering 10th grade): Choose elements of your experience while building a community in Tel Yehudah’s newest program. Yachad engages each camper’s social consciousness with activities on Tikun Olam (improving the world), Jewish ethics, and issues facing modern Israel, while providing them with an exciting daily program emphasizing community values. Yachad campers have a unique opportunity to design part of their own program during a Special Interest Week. Options include biking, hiking the Appalachian Trail, canoeing in one of upper New York’s scenic state parks, or a social action excursion to New York City.

Hadracha: (entering 11th grade) What kind of leader will you be? Hadracha challenges campers to develop their leadership skills: teamwork, public speaking, communication skills, etc. Participants have the opportunity to choose special programs in a variety of fields of interest including lifeguard training, drama, song leading or Israeli dance instruction.

Campers also put their skills to work during a trip to Washington D.C. for a “Day on the Hill” organized by Hadassah’s Washington Action Office. The Day On The Hill is a unique opportunity for campers to participate in the American political process by engaging their Representatives and Senators in issues of importance to the global Jewish community. Campers visit the Israeli Embassy, meet political figures from the world of Jewish activism and visit sites such as the Holocaust Museum and the Smithsonian Institute.

Hanhaga: (entering 11th grade): The newest program at Tel Yehudah focuses on leading through activism from a global perspective. Bringing together campers from the US, UK and Israel, this is TY's first truly international program. Hanhaga brings activism to life and includes a trip to Washington, D.C. and New York City, where campers will have informative sessions at such places as the State Department, United Nations, American Jewish Congress and other centers of international and Jewish activism. Together campers will use their learning to plan a global activist campaign which they will carry out in their communities after the summer. (This program is only offered second session and is only open to campers who have completed the Hadracha program.)

Hadracha Plus: (entering 11th grade):This extension of the Hadracha program during second session provides an opportunity for Hadracha campers to further develop skills and put them into action at one of Young Judaea’s Regional Camps: Camp Judaea in Hendersonville, Camp Young Judaea Midwest in Waupaca, Wisconsin Camp Young Judaea Sprout Lake in Verbank, New York, North Carolina, and Camp Young Judaea Texas in Wimberley, Texas. Each camp takes on a limited number of campers as counselors-in-training for this unique leadership experience. Applicants for this program apply separately to the Regional Camp of their preference.
